American Wire Mill

Located in historic Pawtucket, Rhode Island, The American Wire Mill Complex originally consisted of  one four-story brick, heavy timber structure built in 1898. Thirteen more buildings were built between 1901 and 1917, making it one of the largest historic mill complexes in the region.  High ceilings, brick walls, arched window and door openings, and original wood plank flooring make this project an excellent example of architectural design specific to manufacturing in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Utilizing historic tax credits, Architectura’s design concept highlights the buildings’ historic architectural features. Sq. footage was maximized to include one hundred thirty eight (138) residential units, several commercial units, along with assorted amenities and rental offices.
